Re: WANTED

Think most tickets on sale on eBay over face value are being cancelled by the RIAT team who are monitoring them - so be warned if you pay you still might not get in. Especially those which were complimentary ones.

Re: Park and view west Monday

No source, just going on the significant increase in the number and size of the confirmations compared to the last few years. They would never all fit, and I recall that was how it was when I was younger. Plus, I always thought that was just a way to pad out the static. I'll have a look at the cones...

Re: Park and view west Monday

I believe that the West end (green zone) is being extended to be used for static this year, no display fighters parking unfortunately, as it'll all be based at the 27 end. Shame as might mean no close up of the Rafale etc...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2017 Discussion Thread

They'll be based at RIAT for the week, so will have to take off and land there. Would imagine they'd be flying a display friday too or that's incredibly bad advertising, which I doubt the show would do. Maybe not the f22s involved in Paris, but again doubt we'd not have a display given it's one of t...

I'm unsure but will check at 13.40 when the first display is due (not sure if that is bst or cet).

Re: A Thanks and A Cheers

I would like to agree too. I am still new to all this info and being able to be in the right place at the right time, these boards really helped my short trips be most useful! I was wary on arrival of the more experienced chaps holding their turf for best photos but literally everyone I met has been...

Re: park and view east arrivals

This topic shows last years arrivals - http://www.fightercontrol.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=335&t=134053 both arrival days quite busy, and no real pattern... Just enjoy! Friday has a few movements into the Green zone statics, I don't think park and view is open then as its a 'full' day nowadays? Th...

Re: Hello!

Hi John, if I ever head there I head to the RAF fairford section. There's a map with good viewing spots on there. I find the police just want to know why you're there, then let you carry on. Other may have other experiences... Seems the heads up section may have more info but I can't see it yet. Sen...

Re: Hello!

Glad you like it, was fortunate at the 2015 RIAT to be allowed to wander around her. My favourite and sorely missed.

Wow, this is really the best place to come :) I don't have access yet... but not sure I'll ever go anywhere else now!

NOTAMs are useful, but this is a different level of information -

I love pic no. 4! Great shots!

I agree it looks like the canard when you zoom in - it is symmetrical with the visible one.

(sorry still new here :))

Re: Hello!

Thanks!

Unfortunately not nearby today... in London working. My timing is appalling, good job it's a deployment over a few weeks so I may get lucky once or twice as can only pop over for 45 minutes at a time around a lunch break.

Hello!

Hi everyone, I thought after a year of lurking I had best start to post! I live near RAF Fairford so always keen on seeing what is going on so I can make a trip up to see what is coming in, not managed to time it right yet for an arrival  I've lived under RAF (MoD) Lyneham hold growing up an...
