Having acquired Tomcat Alley, David F brown's excellent photo record of the F-14 I have managed to half answer the question regarding VF-124. There is a photo of a 600 coded F-14A taken October 1981 in there, just need to find someone who saw Modex 681

scammell I have 44-35789 at Tucson in 1983, it was an ex Bay of Pigs A-26C, no info as to it's fate.

BARG confirms your JP as XW429/C.

It doesn't list an Andover on the ground or flying through.

As to the PdF it says code 0 left on Saturday night with the rest of the team departing Sunday morning!

It doesn't list which aircraft were fliers and which ones were spares.

Tomcat codes read on this day and a couple of days later: VF-1 NE 100, 101 VF-2 NE 200, 205 VF-211 NG 104 also does anyone know if VF-124 still had any Tomcats coded in the 600 series by this date as we had NJ-681 noted. Finally a pair of A-4s, one NJ-615, the other a FWS one with Marines titles 58....

Anyone in the area around this time who may have tie ups for the following:

HMT-301 CH-53 codes SU 13, 15, 17 and 23

HMT-301 CH-46 codes SU 6, 00, 3, 5, 15, 025 and 031

Any help appreciated with an HL F-16B spotted on the way in but not noted as we walked round.

Also several flying display participants went unread namely an F-5E, B-52, A-10, OH-6, CH-47, UH-1 and a pair of AH-1s.

F216 was a T-39D in 11/83

I recorded several others which had not changed code between 83 and 86.
