Re: T-2A at Meridian

Thanks for the info. It must be the one on highway 39 that I took a piccy of, in bicentennial colours, back in 76. I logged it as "On a stick near Meridian". I see that scramble has it as "on roof of Toyota garage". I've now found it on google maps... https://www.google.com/maps/place/John+O'Neil+Jo...

T-2A at Meridian

Can anyone confirm the serial of this T-2A at Meridian, in the late 70s, please?

http://rickmorganbooks.com/uploads/3/4/ ... 6_orig.jpg

Possibly 147522, which scramble has marked as being as preserved at Meridian?

Thanks

Aha... I'm now wondering if it's an early morning arrival, rather than late afternoon. Your memory is obviously a lot better than mine!

A shame the pics aren't better quality.

Re: USAF B52 Deployment to UPPER HEYFORD 1976

Resurrecting this very old thread, I was just looking through my transparencies and came across some pics of a B52 landing at Heyford on Thursday 16/09/76. It looks to be pretty late in the afternoon or early evening, So I was wondering if anyone might have more info, as I don't actually remember ta...

What, yours? Up until now there has been no talk of B-1s and nothing has arrived to suggest otherwise
No not mine. Just what I heard. Take it with a pinch of salt.

Re: DRARGON 51 due today ??

Would make sense, they're one jet down in the East at the moment following 094s little escapade from last swap. Did I miss something? 80-1094 arrived on the 8th January from Beale as Dragon 88. After aborting its Eastbound departure the following morning it spent the next 4 weeks hangared before he...
