Re: Six nations

Congratulations to Wales on a well deserved Grand Slam. Oh my goodness what can you say about the England Scotland Game? One of the best dramatic and enthralling games I have ever watched just how Scotland can be so awful in the first half and then actually come within a whisker of actually winning ...

Re: Tonka is a toy I AM TORNADO

Never personally gave Aircraft Types Nicknames like that myself it was always, Phantom, Tornado, Typhoon etc, never used Toom, Tonka, Tiffie etc.

Re: Tornado final weeks info

So would I be right in thinking that there won't be any flying Tornados for the disbandment at the end of the Month? This week (Wednesday is it?) is the Tornado Farewell and the end of RAF Service with Squadron Ground Personnel disbanding at Months End?

Yeah mine arrived today, just as I thought and stated in my earlier post it was just how I expected the Tornado Farewell Patch to be, Unfortunately I had thought about the Squadron Prints Patch set but felt I was unable to afford them - sorry guys...…...

Re: World Tornado situation......

Considering a trip down to Duxford at some point in the future and as they have a couple on Display I'll get my chance to see Tornados again.

Still a shame more Museums are unlikely to receive any. pity.

World Tornado situation......

Now that we know that unfortunately the RAF Tornado GR.4 Fleet will be retired at the end of this Month I was just wondering when the Tornado users from the rest of the World are likely/due to retire their fleets of Tornados?

Re: Tornado final weeks info

Hope Morayvia are given one? Also seeing as they already have an F. 3, it would have been great to see a match set at East Fortune, doubt it will happen though.

Can’t say I’m happy about missing the flypasts.

Re: Tornado GR Pics, post your best.

Love Aircraft with special colour schemes and special marked tails, unfortunately most GR.4 Tails escaped me the one which I most regret not seeing was the Red XV Tail from 2015. The one I remember I liked the most was the Dambusters Tail from 2013 - only really saw both at Leuchars 2013 as I missed...

Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019

As Thunder says a total lack of information on the route for Leuchars, Lossiemouth & Tain for Tomorrow’s Flypasts. Unfortunately II’m working in the Morning but would have loved to get a glimpse of them somewhere.

Re: Tornado inbound

Take it there’s little chance of a cheeky sly pass by the 3 ship Farewell Flypast on Thursday en-route Leuchars. Lossiemouth & Tain then. Seeing as Tornados of both variety used to stop off regularly at RAF Turnhouse either overshoot or landing.

Re: Tornado inbound

Wee bit of a shame I'll possibly not see the flypast next Thursday as due work commitments I can't get to Leuchars, Lossie or Tain but if they could fit in a quick pass of Turnhouse before or after would be great. Either that or the Ferranti HQ in Edinburgh if poss...……..or both..

Re: James Martin (Chef) visits RAF Lossiemouth

Well made programme interesting content. Laughed my head off when he found out he wouldn’t be flying a Typhoon - all dressed up like “Tom Cruise” and all he flies in is a light single engine prop aircraft, the disappointment on his face was hilarious What Aircraft type was that he flew? And was that...
