Re: Tucson AZ

Great set Kevin,
Jordy, It looks like Tucson International Airport, there is a nice car park to get some good piccies, or there used to be anyway. :)

Re: Red Arrows RAF Scampton air base to be sold off

Wittering has been mentioned but wasn't there a suggestion in the past for the Reds to move to Leeming, but the (rubbernecking) drivers on the adjacent A1 put paid to that idea. Hmmm.

Blue Angels Fat Albert

Hoping BMs can fill me in as I am a little out of touch. The US Navy Demo team welcomed back Fat Albert (today?) to Pensacola. Is it an ex RAF airframe? Also why did the other model not last very long as I think it was changed about 10-12 years ago. In the late 1990's I was lucky enough to have a JA...

Re: Hogs

Great images Moose. For board members who want a close up of The Hogs with their guns blazing I recommend a trip to the Barry Goldwater ranges at Gila Bend, near to Phoenix. It is now over 15 years since I visited but you can go up the Range tower and the strafe target is only about 300 metres away....

Re: NAF El Centro - Pearl of the Desert

Once again some great clear images Chris, El Centro is my favourite base, or at least it was 15 years ago when I used to go Stateside. Was The Puma an RAF one?
When I used to stay at The Ramada (now changed name) there were usually 47 sqn guys there.

Re: 5 Stars ....

Excellent pin sharp shots, PAO are usually helpful at NAS Fallon, but it must be about 18 years since I went, I must try and find the Adversary F-14 images I have.

Re: Farewell Lynx Flight

The gathering at the "spot" was about twelve vehicles parked to watch the local hunt go past not long after the four Lynx can over. As I stated there was a gathering to commorate the loss of the AAC Lynx at Tilton in 1999. http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/leicester-news/fly-past-commemorates-...

Re: Farewell Lynx Flight

They came right over my house near to Leicester on their way from Shawbury to Tilton on the Hill, which was probably the first fly past point, Tilton is where a Lynx went down several years ago and there was a gathering at the spot today.
