Re: Farewell Lynx Flight

They came right over my house near to Leicester on their way from Shawbury to Tilton on the Hill, which was probably the first fly past point, Tilton is where a Lynx went down several years ago and there was a gathering at the spot today.

Re: MCAS Yuma

Fabulous set Dan, many thanks for taking the time and trouble to share such wonderful crisp shots, I had some great times at Yuma myself in the late 90s. VMFAT-401 lost a F-5 I guess around 1996, Number 1 I think, I managed to get a piccie (print) before it was lost. Keep up the great work.

Re: F-117 RIP

The NASA Dryden tours at Edwards AFB were fantastic, you could literally turn up at the gate, say you were on the NASA tour and you got waived through. 20 years ago Edwards was one of the easiest bases to access, alas, times change and now no NASA tours as far as I know. Edwards used to have a displ...

The co pilot likes em anyway. :)
When I first started spotting about 92/93 time there were 2 of these popped into Mildenhall, my first US Navy aircraft, I will never forget the COD.

Re: Apparently a rare old Bird

I got to wondering if the Boscombe Down story about 213 will come out in 2024, 30 years after the alledged incident, how many C-5s have visited Boscombe Down since 1994, great shots by OP anyway.

Great shots.
What is the difference between the AC-130U and AC-130W? I see we have had both versions in Mildenhall just recently.
TIA

Re: NAF El Centro - November 2016

Thanks for the great shots, and the memories. In the late 90s I spent many hours at EC with some fabulous aircraft and the views from the outside are excellent. Unfortunately many aircraft have now departed this life, A4s, A6s F14s S3s etc etc.
Once again, thanks for the memories.

About 20 years ago wasn't there a Lightning on display in the South Gyle area of Edinburgh? I am sure that I saw one from a passing train once.
