Re: BBMF To Host Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Lancaster

The Lanc featured in tonights Discovery edition of Ice Pilots at the Hamilton Airshow, presumably 2013. Strangely the team had a problem with Number 2 engine and nearly missed the show, but in the end all went well and even Joe got a flight.

Sigma 170-500mm lens Canon fit

Several years ago, in the pre digital era I bought a Sigma-170-500mm F5.0-6.3 APO AF lens to go with my Canon EOS 5, it took some cracking piccies in the USA but now alas I am no longer in to photographing aircraft. As there was no use for the lens I put it on a well known internet auction site afte...

Re: NAS Key West - good arrivals spot ?

I spent some great time at NAS Key West, but that was before 2001, it was actually an open base in those days. There used to be a small area near the ramp where you could take piccies, it was in front of the gym which later bacame the police station. I am out of the loop now but as you have time to ...

Re: Acer Scanwit 2720

EGCC My old PC ran windows XP but that was not being supported anymore so I bought a good spec Win 7. I still have my old PC and whilst I am not too PC savvy I could probably remove the old SCSI card and put it on the motherboard of my new PC. In this Digital era though technology soon becomes out o...

Acer Scanwit 2720

Hi Guys, 2nd post and asking questions already, but I hope to benefit you all later with some images. I changed my PC which ran Windows XP a few months ago and upgraded to a Win 7 model. On my old PC I had a Acer Scanwit 2720 film/35 slide scanner with a SCSI connection. My new PC did not come with ...

Re: New to FC or not so new? Introduce yourself here.

Hello All I have been a lurker on Fighter Control for a year or two now, but as I am not an active spotter or photographer these days I didn't bother to join, but I have now. I had several years going to the USA and visiting bases and weapons ranges etc, I even blagged a ride with the Blue Angels, s...
