Re: Duxford - September 3rd 2011 (UPDATED)

So seeing as people wanted some more, here they come. A few of some of the other acts, and some more of the F-15E. King Air is always good to watch and a welcome addition to the display. http://i381.photobucket.com/albums/oo254/DanielMontgomery_photos/KingAir.jpg T-28's were very well displayed, wit...

Duxford - September 3rd 2011 (UPDATED)

Well, made the trip down to Duxford today and it was well worth it. Beautiful weather and some great air displays made for a very enjoyable afternoon. Even if it means i'm a little sunburnt  Anyway, i have had a quick edit (wanted to get a few pictures on before everybody else showed me up :P ...

Re: 4 days at RIAT First Ever Post

Really good photos! I especially like the first 3  One tip i would recommend though is to lower the shutter speed a little bit more for the props and rotors, this would make them look less frozen.

Re: Duxford incident?

That's exactly what I was told happened Dan, so thanks for confirming that! Look like it's the Skyraider pilots fault then, such a shame, he certainly did look very shaken up after he got down :( From what i saw it looked as though the Skyraider pilot wouldn't have been able to see BBD due to his w...

Re: Duxford incident?

From what I saw I'd say the Mustang is a compete write off :( I didn't witness the initial collision myself (Was looking at the next formation!) But from talking to other people beside me it sounds like the Skyraider somehow turned inside the Mustang and caught its wing. What I witnessed was the th...

Re: Flying Legends 2011

Will the P-47 get airborne? Really hope the P-38 turns up! Should be a good weekend! Believe the P-47 is due to start engine testing later this year so no chance of it being flying. Cheers for the info Ben! Will you you be at Legends? We should both be there on both days, on Saturday i am, and Ben ...

The First Avengers - HMS Seahawk

Otherwise known as RNAS Culdrose. Spent a very enjoyable day down here today whilst parents went off to look around some gardens somewhere. Had good sunny, if a little hazy, weather all day which meant that heat haze became a real nightmare for any shots of the aircraft on the ground. It was relativ...

Re: RIAT 2011

I go for the FULL NINE YARDS , camp at TOTTERDOWN HILL CAMPSITE and view from there or at the approach end, didn't bother going in at all last year, even though I was offered a FREE TICKET for the Sunday! It has become a cross between a SUNDAY MARKET and a FUNFAIR with a FEW aircraft thrown in for ...
