Johns Field, Mildenhall, Tuesday02/09/14.

Paid a visit here as the Three Lancs event turned into a one (grounded) Lanc event... had a reasonable couple of hours. https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3871/15128548745_4e0bda7744_b.jpg DSC_6883 by 1979Bree , on Flickr https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5568/14941946217_69746085d6_b.jpg DSC_6706 by 1979B...

Re: Sky News: Fighter Jets Flown With 3D Printed Parts

How about 3d printed pilots? I understand they have tried cardboard ones but found they werent cut out for the job.

Would be nice if that were correct but there is nothing to suggest that it is. Airfield is still shown as closing on NOTAM.

Re: Friday the 13th

Talking to someone at Sherburn Aerodrome yesterday the unforeseen circumstances are that Church Fenton has a one year reprieve! Ive not been able to confirm that but he was adamant that he had the info from an RAF Officer.

Re: RAF Air Seeker (ZZ664) Due RAF Waddington

Interesting to see that all three airframes are already 49 yrs old, the least utilised having over 22,000 flying hours before being converted. By the time they leave RAF service in 2045 they will be 81 years old! The RAF withdrew the Lincoln Bomber only the year before these three were brought into ...

Re: C17

Ist one is so far tweaked that it is difficult to actually focus on! Halos around the clouds as well make it look rather amateurish. I do like the original and perhaps a little tweaking would improve it for me but as has been stated, its all a matter of taste so if thats your style go for it. The se...

Nice! Excellent viewpoint, I paid £20 to shoot into the sun!! Thought I saw Police moving people on from the crashgate area, I assume there were some actually blocking it.

Thanks, yes the lighting wasnt brilliantwith blue(ish) patches to one side and fairly thick cloud to my left. I added some exposure compensation for shooting against the sky but its a bit hit and miss really. Got some nice pocs of this aircraft at Cosford which I will post shortly.
