At Coningsby mostly start late monday morning and finish Friday dinner have a 2 hour dinner break 29 sqn other sqns can fly anytime when on dinner you can pop over to Cranwell/Barkson Waddo might be worth a trip but is mostly dead hope it help you always loads of people at Cuningsby

Has any airfield been used for housing if so how much was it to revert it to housing due to soil combination / removing of runways hardstands etc and knocking down of shelters most are used as storage of cars ie Heyford Alonbury or factory units

Was told a few years ago that Wittering was on a 99 years lease from the local estate and the lease the RAF pay a pity sum of a guinea a year (21 shillings) and if close have to revert to farm land and the remove of runways hardstands that's why there was a limit on nightflights how right I do not ...

Hi Nighthawke not aimed at you after 45 years you know what to expect I had it when the TTTE was at Cottesmore but people still whittle about them its the same with QRA flights

Thanks to everyone from top to bottom for a great fab year for pending movements aircraft del and look forward to a even greater 2018 with 100 years of RAF del of the F35s I hope every one as a great Xmas and a wishful 2018 just proves what a great hobby this is THANKS

Good luck for Scampton for holding an airshow years ago we had four BOB shows in this month and display aircraft did two shows in a day things are harder these days and more expensive to stage next year we have 100 years of RAF to look forward to and this show can only get better

Agree with you it happen at Coningsby till there put wheeler bins in now almost no litter in the car park now the old burger man was being charged for litter till he proved them wrong and install these wheeler bins

I can recall the days when RAF Wittering was open we always had Harries over Peterborough just these weeps from major cites who dont like it and most go round the edge of Peterborough
