Re: Walkround's

It always makes me smile when people "apologise for the quality of the pictures..." We are all grown ups here, & if you are good enough to post the pics for everybody else to see, & get info from, then nobody will say, "oh, you should have shot that in flim flam setting with your autofocus on, at IS...

Re: Cottesmore, How busy?

Wouldnt bother with Wittering :( , it is very difficult to get any decent photos from anywhere around the airfield perimeter, unless you have a VERY big lens :D The Thunder & Lightnings website has some very useful viewing guides, including Wittering, but you would be better off going to the end of ...

Re: What is this Section for?

I know the Hannants range of Xtracolours all come in a gloss finish, as it is best ( in their opinion ) to apply decals to a gloss surface, then finish with a varnish of your choice. :) Something to do with making air bubbles easier to get rid of from under the decal :S Having now got several gallon...

Re: Error 99 30D

Oh dear :( I had the same problem with my 20D. :@ It turned out to be one of the pins in the bottom of the CF card slot had snapped off, when I changed my CF card. :grr: Take your CF card out, & get a magnifying glass, (you'll need it!), & a torch, & visually check to see if all the pins are there. ...

Re: Waddington Attacked

That answers a question that was bandied about between I & my work colleagues the following morning :D I live very close to Waddo, & that Harrier was flying some very queer tacs, as they say up here  That is the lowest I have seen an aircraft over my house, after sunset, & was also showing ...

Johnsons Klear

Johnson's Klear seems to pop up a lot when I read modelling forums, so the missus is off on a "Klear" hunt. :thumb: She was going shopping anyway, so kill 2 birds with one stone, & all that :D I do use the microscale decal system a lot, they do give cracking results. A little tip I did pick up (pinc...

I do not have one for sale, but am trying to find a member of the previous incarnation of FC, before it shut down, who had PM'ed me his address to send payment to for the above model I had agreed to buy from him. My previous username was XT872.
