383 wasn't part of Spartan flight but may have been in the area at the time which led to the confusion. :S
Lossie68 was showing as ZK383 on the popular radar services, all the way from Lossiemouth via Aldergrove to Leeming, where it landed and was ZK424.

Re: Increased aircraft activity

Lossie68, ZK424, arrived at Leeming from Lossie, via Aldergrove. Presumably a box swap with ZK383.

Re: Hyakuri Airshow - Tips?

Could just as easily be a det., rather than the start of the permanent move... tbc.

Personally, I would expect to see 302 being declared operational and taking over alert duties at Misawa first.

You appear to have forgotten about 8 Hikotai, who flew the F-4EJ Kai for ten years.

First is a JAQ-1 ""Non-recoverable water target used for shooting training". Carried by F-4 and F-2, previously by the F-1. Second is a dust collection pod. "A device for sampling radioactive materials. Currently, the F-4EJ / EJ Kai and T-4 are used. Type 1 (retired) could be mounted on F-86F.". p.s...

Re: Hyakuri Airshow - Tips?

I'd see no reason not to hire a car, either. Hyakuri is a little out of the way comparatively, so getting there by car from wherever you are staying is the easiest option. Whilst it can be done by public transport, and I guess there is some merit in that for the airshow day itself, any other time th...

The airshow programme for Hyakuri is https://www.mod.go.jp/asdf/hyakuri/pdf/ ... _panhu.pdf

The cover does say "A Farewell to F-4 Phantom".

Re: Hyakuri Airshow - Tips?

Should have mentioned that this still a chance for an airshow with Phantoms in 2020! Albeit at Gifu not Hyakuri... I haven't heard when the 5x F-4EJ and 2x F-4EJ Kai with the Gifu based test unit be withdrawn. A fair assumption though they will be withdrawn once the type leaves operational service a...
