Re: Lizard Galaxy from Air Fete '92

I think the last of the white and grey ones were based at CONUS west-coast a/fs; it was said they reflected the sunlight better when crossing the Pacific Ocean. When they went 'lizard' I ended up binning a lot of my slides!

Re: Memorial Flypast

The last was in appreciation of Tony Foulds who has looked after the memorial ever since it was erected in Endcliffe Park. He was playing in the park when Mi Amigo brought it.
Well done Tony.

For a change we escaped lightly in the Lakes though it didn't take much to top up all the water-bodies.
Did anywhere else in Europe get hit or did/has it fizzled out over the North Sea?

Re: Roadrunner

It was thanks to the carp skiing weather up at Aviemore in 1975 that I spent my first time outside an operational airfield: Lossiemouth. Jags of course, three Gannets on the ramp and another coming off the North Sea, Shackledraggers and for good measure a Vulcan (XL390 I think which later 'brought i...

Guess you might be lucky; there've been C-17s mentioned in the Reach section tripping to Finland during the last week.
Roger.
edit. Last Tuesday: Rch371/2, but I've not seen specific dates for the actual F-35s.

Aye, unless ya trampoline's filed a plan!
There's up to twenty warnings on 'National Rail' and by the time I'm back on my concession on Monday I expect plenty of damage to overheads (the wonders of electrification), landslides and trees across the pw.

A brilliant innings. I don't have tvs, but have a dvd of 'Final Countdown' that I used to watch on a portable until summat blew up.
Honestly, I wouldn't know what films he appeared in without checking Wikipedia; guess he must have done a few Western which I'll look out for.

I get this too: out of Scottish via 277.625 onto 252.875(?); they''ll still be in line of sight, but no further coms. heard in the descent.
When they were stationed at Alconbury I once picked up a "Rook" leaving Dutch airspace above 600; lost him when he was down to 350. I'm in the S. Lakes.

What are the boarded up a/cs in the background- not 'Austin' Maxis by any chance?
Roger
Good set of 'graphs by the way; MLZ spotters must be stewed off by all the C-17s Prestwick's handling these days.
