Re: Best display of RIAT 2022

Re: Spooky days at Coningsby 1974-1982
Those were the days, as a small child in the 70's I can still remember running in the house with hands over my ears terrified as they flew over (2-3 yrs old) couple that with grandparents that lived at coleby near waddington and seeing vulcans take off and land! How lucky I was!

Re: Waddington Airshow permanently cancelled
Sorry for double post...Lincolnshire show attendance over the two days 60000, the last waddington air show 130000. I would hope they use the same travel plans for the air show as they do for the Lincolnshire show? If so my plan will be train to Lincoln and use the shuttle bus service, which for the L...

Re: Waddington Airshow permanently cancelled
This will be a nightmare to get to as mentioned in a previous post. Not sure how the visitor numbers compare with the Lincolnshire show but the traffic for that is really bad!

Re: Fellow FCers on Saturday
Think its a case of catering for the masses and placating the minority Tronk....a sign of the times....can you recall seeing a funfair at an air fete or a coningsby open day. My memory may be clouded but an airshow used to be just that but now you can buy a kitchen...sponsor a dog..and order garden ...

Re: Fellow FCers on Saturday
Enjoyed the day but I think money and current conflicts haven't helped with the content. Personally I've seen more fast jets at coningsby on a Tuesday afternoon (typhoon, hawk, tonka and a couple of eagles) and for free! Still all in a good cause and to see my five year old jumping up an down with del...

Re: RAF Waddington International Air Show 2013
quite fancy it as me and my mate can never understand why they go to the trouble of flying a phantom over from europe just to park it up all show weekend and not do a flying display!! Because the Germans don't do flying displays. Even the Phantom event later in the year at Wittmund is not a "displa...
