Re: Midlands Air Festival 2024
Was at the show on friday and was getting decent comms on 127.1083 and 130.6750 for most participants. Reds obviously used their normal air to airs and the Typhoons came through on 29th squadron frequencies too. Glad I took the scanner as it gave me (and tge people nearby) a good heads up when the S...

The 17th is a bit of an odd one.
Closed 0600-0800
Open "for official business" 0800-1130
Then closed for rest of day
Maybe something due in/out in morning?

Re: Lakenheath NOTAM 15/3 PM
I saw one of these the other week when I was down. I think it’s to replace the usual morning “runway 06/24 surface condition wet” etc that gets issued every morning to reflect when they’ve no further planned flying that day. On the day that I noticed it the daily notam (06/24 etc) had been described...

Ill keep an eye on the heads up thread and decide early afternoon Last 2 trips down the place has seemed busier than ever from dawn until after dark. They were even...

Re: Question for the regulars re 493rd
Last time I was down (mid January) they were hot pitting and fairly sure they went up 3 times. All the squadrons seemed to be mega busy that week, every time I wanted a burger another set either came down to arming or turned up to land! Not complaining mind…
