E_D,

According to Rch80056's post in the Heads up thread, 169328 (AE6784) was the 1st one and 169002 (AE6861) was the 2nd.

166694 seems to be home-based at Oceana, which would make it VR-56.

Re: RAF Mildenhall 'Air Fete' 23rd May 1981

Hi, Can anyone please help with a few details regarding the following noted at Mildenhall Air Fete 23.05.1981. Using as a start the very basic check list obtained from the Scramble website and further add on’s by myself can anyone please update with squadron/wing identities and any relevant tailpla...

ZH882 is c/n 5480, so presumably that one as the serials of the first two have been in line with their c/n.

Re: Alconbury 25/8/1978

You can add F-4E 68-0406/HR at Alconbury on the Saturday.

At Binbrook, Hangar 2 code L was XS928 of 5 Sqdn. The only serial I have for Hangar 5 is XR756 code not noted (if it had one)

Many thanks, Jigsaw.

One small point E62 (your tail 2) was w/o in 1981. Have you a photo that shows its "F-xxxx" registration?.....EDIT:- Heads Up shows it to be E87

Re: LN closure NOTAM

I thought the local F-15Es were all back from the warmer climate? Two others (from the 494FS - 91-0310 and 91-0604) are still out in the sandpit (the rest returned at the beginning of March). Do you know if any of those came back? Only reason I ask is I saw 01-2002 appear in a 332nd Expeditionary A...

Re: Question

That may be true for the MOs coming from the Near East, but it requires 2x KC-10s to bring a cell of fighters from the Middle East. Also, why then have KC-135s turned up - one for each cell to accompany the KC-10? Possibly because they are flying against the high speed Westerly transatlantic winds a...
