Re: LN closure NOTAM

I thought the local F-15Es were all back from the warmer climate? Two others (from the 494FS - 91-0310 and 91-0604) are still out in the sandpit (the rest returned at the beginning of March). Do you know if any of those came back? Only reason I ask is I saw 01-2002 appear in a 332nd Expeditionary A...

Re: Question

That may be true for the MOs coming from the Near East, but it requires 2x KC-10s to bring a cell of fighters from the Middle East. Also, why then have KC-135s turned up - one for each cell to accompany the KC-10? Possibly because they are flying against the high speed Westerly transatlantic winds a...

Re: Cryptic clue

Whether I would have got "Calgary" out of "Cagliari" if I had Googled it.....a moot point.

I got the "Deci..." ages ago, but had discarded it. Had been looking for "X" and "m(i)" to take out of Canadian cities

Re: # Bentwaters, Woodbridge, Lakenheath and Mildenhall Jul/Aug 1973 #

It's what they ended up as, Graham.

Having been in AMARC as F-4Es, they were converted into drones (QF-4Es) and subsequently expended.

Still struggling with the French border signs ! Anything related to Swiss or Vatican city?
I've already given you the answer to that.

Eggebek and Luxeuil are both wrong.

Re: Cryptic clue

Both wrong.

As I said, the original clue contains two disguised "operations" that must be performed. I've decrypted one of these "operations" for you.

The final answer is a now closed base in an EU country.

Can't now give any more help without revealing the answer.

"located outside the EU".....think Passport Control at French Channel ports
Specifically the signs.

There are two (disguised) "operations" that the clue tells you to perform.
