Tornado ZD842
I'm trying to do a bit of research into tornado zd842
Does anybody know if that airframe ever went out to iraq between 2003 and 2016 or where I might be able to find out such information if it did.
I know it went to leeming for rtp 24.3.16
Many Thanks
Mark R

Re: Pitot tube identification
Thanks for all the replies. I've been looking at more pictures on the Internet and from memory it looks to have a shaped end like a sea harrier frs 1 or a hawker hunter pitot tube. But can't tell the length of those. Some photos of the lightning pitot tube look like the end of the tube is rounded wh...

Re: Pitot tube identification
Hi effects. I will try and get some photos this weekend as this belongs to a friend of mine. It looks like one fitted to a tornado in shape at the end then gradually tapering up to a diameter of about 2 inch at the other end and it has a bracket with two holes welded on about 6 to 8 inches from the ...

Re: Tornado canopy names
Hi lain
Thank you for providing the photos the bold writing is the same as I can make out under the paint so it looks like that's the air frame .
All I need to do now is restore it back to how it was then.
Thanks again Mark.

Re: Tornado canopy names
Hi reaper493 I'm sorry but I don't know what squadron or time it was from. The canopy sill plate has been hanging on my garage wall for a few years and I've just noticed that in a certain light you can see the names underneath the paint so I was going to restore it back if I could fine out about it ...
