Hope they do come to Cardiff or St Athan, would love to see them fly again! Be great if they were converted to water bombers over here but I’m pretty sure that work will be done stateside.

Re: 6 Ex RAF Tristars sold to US company

Maybe they could fit in the old VC-10 bays in St Athan? They looked pretty empty when I drove past a few weeks ago!

However they’ve been sitting for a long time & judging by some photos I’ve just seen of them covered in mold. They would need a fair bit of work just to make a ferry flight to St Athan

This doesn’t sound good for spotters, the no waiting/ loading probably includes no loitering!

Will the wave shop be open?

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

I really enjoyed this year, I thought the pilots & crew were fantastic. Allowing great access to the aircraft with great merchandise, although it did feel like they missed a trick not having the nato flypast on Sunday aswell! When the Belgian F-16’s left Saturday I personally would have thought the ...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

Absolute no chance by recent updates, Yeovilton announce super hornets, RIAT announces a couple of RAF aircraft for static.

Yeovilton announce a Canadian herc Demo & RIAT announce a Ferris wheel!

Can’t make it up!

Re: Weston Air Festival 22nd - 23rd June

Real disappointment this year, only memorable part of the day was the arrival of the helicopters, unfortunately much less than last year! Gazelle squadron were great & very friendly, managed to catch them departing & returning at the helicopter museum! No military participation this year which was a...

Re: RAF COSFORD 2019

Final few hours was the best, the sun came out & so did the interesting aircraft. Also love the harrier line up, I just really wish that the stunning F-3 was parked up the top with the jaguars.

I think it’s a great addition, I will be up there for all 7 days. Still hoping for some French mirages as I can’t see anything confirmed from France & a Hellenic or Turkish F-4 would surely please everyone!

Really really hoping for a phantom to be added

Re: Yeovilton Air Day - 2019

Be nice if they were different ones but I doubt it, be nice if they taxi & park near near the crowd after their display at yeovilton. One thing I love about yeovilton is seeing the aircraft up close before & after their display routine.
