Re: Tornado farewell flypast February 2019

I'm wondering if the north Devon coast may provide a good vantage as they transit E-W along the Bristol Channel? I'd be pushing for time to get to Filton.

but a timely reminder for the 'hard of understanding' perhaps?
Well if it was written in plain English...! ;)
I'm sure there's a map on the web that explains all.

Navy Wings supporters day 9/6

Apologies if this is the wrong place, but. This event is taking place at Yeovilton tomorrow. It's fully booked. As the Swordfish & Sea Fury are to be flying I was thinking of passing by on my bike ride. Word anyone know the time of the event?
Thank you.

Re: Lanc at Derwent 16th

Typhoon replaced the Lanc. OC BBMF tweeted saying Typhoon couldn't make the Dams due to poor weather. 2 minutes later he managed to get threw and flew down. Apparently many people are moaning.... You just can't please everyone! Sometimes there's too much info out there. I'm appalled by some comment...

F16 GCAS save

Interesting HUD footage from a G-LOC incident on an F16. This is good technology.

Here's a chinook taken out my bedroom window a few weeks ago, following the M5 heading towards Dartmoor.

Re: Weston-Super-Mare

Not too bad a display on the Saturday. Shame Lauren Richardson and the Pitts didn't dispay, not sure why. I thought the Strikemaster put on a good performance. The Typhoon display this year looked good, to say it was 'rolling' only. The Stampe formation were also good, anyone know who was flying the...

Saab Draken- I never knew they could do this

Here's a film I stumbled across showing the beautiful Draken in flight, including a few cobra manoeuvres.
Enjoy.

Re: Reporting Live Ops threads

Common sense would say no posting of live ops. How would any of us feel if it were our sons and daughters involved? I for one would not want my lads safety compromised in any way just so a number of us can track whats going on as our hobby. I missed the thread at the time but support the decision t...

Re: B2's over Devon

Just outside Tiverton. They came more or less straight over the town. They'd probably be more over Crediton than Exeter and being at 6000' not so easy to see.

B2's over Devon

Here are my poor efforts (shooting into the sun)! After almost giving up hope hearing they'd descended to FL100 I assumed they'd passed me by. But, just as the forum went down, there at 6000' was a B2, PANTS12 leading with PANTS11 about 5 min behind and slightly to the south (putting it straight OTT...

It's press day tomorrow I believe. Anyone know what maybe flying. Went a few years back and it was good. Have the RNHF got anything flyable yet?

Re: Lancaster servicing.

From memory the wing spar replacement was the first time a Lanc had had a main spar replaced, it was a modified Shackleton one, I think they did it at Coningsby but I could be wrong. I doubt they'll be going as deep as that at the next service. The spar and major overhaul was done by Air Atlantique...

That's a shame, I rather like the Tucano displays. Probably the only one here that does! However, the T2 display could be good.
