No visitors allowed perhaps?
In my experience it usually means no visitors. Though I expect visiting DOD assets will still be permitted. :thumb:

Re: B2's Next week

There was a rumour of B-1B doing the rounds earlier in the week? I've also heard that rumour at the fence recently, but with no obvious support arriving i'd suggest the chances of that happening anytime soon are fairly slim. Though i'd be very happily proven wrong. There was a LOT of equipment bein...

Working for Sky I can tell you that you are allowed to pause your SkySports subscription and you will not be charged a fee to do so or be held to any notice period.

Hope that helps mate.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2020 Discussion Thread

Unfortunately, given the current situation it was only a matter of time. A really difficult decision to make, but no doubt the correct one.

Thanks to the team for their hard work and fingers crossed for next year. :thumb:

Re: Notam 20/03/20

When i Google PAVAN it is either a Hindu God, a dance, a village in India or a village in Iran.

Either way, another interesting call sign to add to the list. :ninja:

Re: B2's Next week

I think the sensible answer is that know one really knows. Even when tankers are booked and flight plans are filed nothing ever goes "as planned". You'll know the answer to that question when next week comes and they either land at Fairford, or they don't. The general rule of thumb with Fairford is ...

Re: What is fence acess at Fairford like this week?

I was down on Monday and didn't have too many issues. The 27 end of the runway was incredibly busy with plenty of vehicles / folk, as usual.

As long as you park sensibly and take care when driving down that end of the runway (people crossing back and forth), you should be fine. :thumb:

The 01 you can hear should be SILAS01, which is 071 on the usual mission. Not to be confused with this thread regarding 085 which has departed westbound today.

Yes maybe. At least the wind is pretty much down the runway though!
My thoughts as well. I assume that's what it was, as the flight plan disappeared mid morning.

It looks like the wind has put the U-2 off today. The latest observation show's 25023G34KT.

Wasn't that cloudy.
I'm not sure if this is reference the departure or arrival. The sun came out just as it started to roll which was very lucky, but the arrival was in pretty poor light.

12 Jan 2020: RSAF A330 MRTT 2403 @ EMA
