Re: LN Strike Eagles going home

I think this is all party politics with politicians making strategic military decisions. The Pentagon wanted to retire 26 older F-15E of the 335th Fighter Squadron at Seymour Johnson AFB, this has now been blocked by lawmakers as it protects over 500 jobs. I think Senator Budd of North Carolina (hom...

Rob Holland Accident

I am sure a few of you who have travelled stateside have seen his display, Rob Holland has died in a crash overnight whilst practicing for the upcoming Langley air show. I have seen Rob display on many occasions and I will say his skill as a an aviator was second to none, one of the best. RIP and bl...

According to Scramble, the 10 x USMC F-35B have cancelled. Does anyone know if any other countries are planning to deploy to Lossiemouth for the exercise?

Superb set Niall, it’s good to see plenty of visitors at one of the best bases in the U.K. Are 9 squadron home atm? I am up later in May and wouldn’t mind photographing my first 9 squadron Typhoon.

Re: AFS Yelahanka and Aero-India 2025

I have always been fascinated by India, not just military but culture, railways, food etc. however it is somewhere I am yet to travel to. I would love to see some of these types up close, especially the Jaguar and old Mig-21 (and the Sea Harrier before retirement), but for now I am content in lookin...

USA Week 2

Following on from my Week 1 post, we headed from Las Vegas to Phoenix, more precisely to Mesa Gateway airport. The airport is known for military aircraft stopping and refuelling so it is always worth checking if passing. As we arrived on the outskirts of Phoenix, we could see on our flight tracking ...

Re: USA Week 1

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I do enjoy that part of the world and I would recommend it to you all if you haven't been out there before. We were running a few days behind you and never saw any snow on the roads. What day did you fly in? Hi Brian, we flew in on Sunday 27th January and were cr...

USA Week 1

Hello everyone, I recently headed over the pond again to the West Coast with a friend, for a bit of late winter sun and to bother a few more pixels. Many images were taken again, so I am splitting this trip into two posts. We landed in San Diego which I will admit, is so much better and far less str...

Jason's Challenge Coins

I have finally got around to adding my USA related challenge coins to my Flickr site. Due to my inability to remember which ones I already own, I have had to do this due to duplicating some in recent times. I have been collecting challenge coins since 2008, some have been gifted, others bought. My c...

Re: Chasing the Hawg: A lot of A-10 photos!

What a great set of pictures. We are all going to miss the A-10 when the day finally comes but you have created some wonderful memories with these pictures. Did you manage to get hold of a challenge coin from the display team this year? They didn’t have any earlier this year at Luke show so I bought...

Re: 2024 In Review

Nice to see those Gripens taking off on the road. I think I like the Chengdu J-10CY, maybe it's the colours or the backdrop but it does have something. I would like to see it fly.

Quality images as always Tony.
