Re: The French Connection #4

Just loving your postings dollar99 for various French aircraft. They always seemed 'unique' in many ways and they always ensured that their heraldry always came through in striking markings. I remember my first trip to Evreux in the late 70's and seeing so many Noratlas' spread over the field - mega...

Re: 1 FTS 80th Anniversary Bash - 31/07/99 Pt.2 Static + Flypast

Hi Michael,Great post  I've always enjoyed trips to LoO back from the days when 20+ JP's would be on the line. It would be nice if they could have a 'trainer' meet before the final shutdown of the Tucano and the station - I'm sure the Dutch, Belgians and French (and more) could 'organise' a ...

100Sq Formation 26/7

I was in the Bedale / Leeming area on Friday late afternoon 26th July - noted 5 Hawks practising a formation I suspect for the weekend's Sunderland Show.
Can anyway please confirm the aircraft used

Many thanks

Great post Mike, as fresh as it gets. The Lightning Flash is great and the last three on the nose certainly a bonus to identify pics taken....and I assume for the 'linies' to quickly identify frames when they are operational.
Thanks for posting

Great catch Hywel  - have never even seen that in the deployed position when on the deck. He obviously had issues so was in the right place at Hawarden, once he got down safely.

Re: ENGLISH ELECTRIC LIGHTNING

Very nice James  I think we must have met at some time and been stood along the fence line as I have a very similar collection taken from the Crash Gate at the Thorganby end of Rwy21 around the same period. From school days in the 60's when I spent most of the holidays out there right up to ...

Noted that leaving Paris late morning on ads-b and tracking north to Mildenhall - shame it only did a 'gas n go' before leaving for Prestwick - would have definitely made a dash down for that beauty
Pleased you got the shot and thanks for posting
