Re: lowlevelRAF's Collection

Nice. Just for your info - I don't think that your Hawk / 100 Sqn patch has anything to do with the Hawk (or the RAF!) It is one of those made up designs from Wayviation / 2535Wayne on E-bay. Don't take offence but he has a fine selection of fake stuff sold via E-bay and appearing in people's colle...

lowlevelRAF's Collection

Hi All, Finally got round to uploading some pictures of my growing patch collection. Some rare ones in there, but I've tried to group them the best I can :) RAF Tornado GR Force https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47957158706_4d747284bc_b.jpg RAF Tornado F3 https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/479571...

Falklands?

Evening All,

Just had a quick question, do we have a Chinook or two deployed to the Falklands currently?

Only wondered with 1310 Flight taking on the Op Newcome flight in Mali, which flight had took over? The last time I heard of the Chinook force south was in 2017.

Regards,

Matt

Re: To the Bat Phoon!!! fresh from the paint shop!

Great catch indeed! I must admit there are alot more jets up at Lossie with unit markings, than at Coningsby. Hopefully the markings will stay abit longer!

Can anyone make out what name they are putting on the jet?

Re: Machloop ban

The pilot would of known he was in hot water while on RTB, the debrief and HUD tapes that get shown during post flight, would reveal what happened. Social media has highlighted the loop to the extreme, look at the Dailyfail and how many articles a year they print with 'Really low fighter jets in Wal...

41TES have been pictured with the storm shadow loaded, but not seen any with Brimstone yet, but they are quite active at the moment.

Re: T6-c aircraft at valley

Only we could cock up a proven design. And spending a day at Linton with Tucs buzzing around I still fail to see how just 10 airframes will do the job. 10 they will now mostly likely struggle with, they are already already looking at maybe additional aircraft. The pilot training figures used in the...

Re: T6-c aircraft at valley

There are still "many" issues to iron out with the T6's from basic survival equipment (the ejector seat harness has already been mentioned but other bits are not up to the required standards to operate around the UK coast) to the fact that they flying sylabous has yet to be agreed and certified, wh...

Re: T6-c aircraft at valley

Only trouble when its an aircraft that solely uses US flight safety equipment, for all the flight suits, helmets, harnesses, as well as the ejector seat. Alot of change from the norm at Valley. They are hoping to swap the seat for a 5 point harness, same as most other ejector seats in use within RAF...
