Shuttleworth 60 Spit and Corsair

Two fantastic aircraft which attended the Shuttleworth 60 Airshow this year were Vought F4U-5NL Corsair based at Jean-Baptiste Salis Airfield, built by Sikorsky in 1951, previously serving in the Honduran AF before being sold into various civilian hands. Exported to France in 1986 and was rebuilt be...

Re: 510th Fighter Squadron

The 510th with the Patience My **** statement is intriguing in that a patch with a similar sentiment was about in 1991 for an AC130 gunship I am not into patches so have no idea if this has been used many times by many units https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54049813091_980925eb03_o.jpg Gulf War ...

Triple Nickel are the 555th FS, the 510th are not present (although a couple of their jets have been borrowed)
Yes the 555th are deployed and they have 'borrowed' some of the 510th aircraft. But they also have 510th flight crew participating too. As these patches were obtained from a 510th pilot.

Re: Park and View never again

Dilligaf 1 I think you have totally missed the point. Your statement referencing Silverstone is totally irrelevant as it is taking about after entering the event. My posts reference queue jumping before finally entering the event I.e. whilst being held after security scans and waiting for entrance ...

Re: Park and View never again

So I'm No 1 in the pedestrian queue, the gates open, Walk in everyone stays in line in the same order as they were queueing in. I arrive at the bag search, at this point there are 12 bag check security points. There are now 12 "1st" people in the queues. The bag searches begin, now the time taken to...
