Presumably they are the RAF Training aircraft based in the US, and therefore unused at weekends?downes0106 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 4:42 pmSo the RAF can put a F35 on static in the US, but not at RIAT! Nice shot. What was the rest of the show like?
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Would love to see the NASA Sofia SP over, would be the last time as they have recently lost funding, and I imagine it’s not long for this world

Re: First Signs of Imminent Deployment.
I need to make a trip down to Fairford to see the Dragons, not been there for a while.
I realise that they usually don't fly at weekends, so it will mean booking a day off.
Is there a rule of thumb for days that are most or least likely to fly, ie: Don't fly on Fridays etc?

Re: Rumours of Tom Cruise appearing at RIAT
Think you are being abit cruel saying that a possible appearance by Tom Cruise at this years RIAT is "doom & gloom" !! All those hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world congregating on a few square miles of gloucestshire for a week. Tightly packed in like sardines in a tin!! Wake up...

Brilliant update today, and I really like that extra bit of transparency in talks with nations not yet confirmed. Harriers back again in 2020 would be absolutely amazing. Germany always give fantastic support and I wonder what Canada could send. Vera for the 80th anniversary of Battle of Britain an...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
I may be in the minority, but I don't mind if the aircraft are military or civilian as long as it makes a great flying display. The more different types colour and size the better. I can only get to RIAT for one day and always have a great day and now looking forward to this year. With less airshow...

As for the B-2 last year i believe it was a last day decision for it to flypast as it was on a training run from the USA and was low on fuel due to having to circle over brize for 10 minutes hence why it only did 1 pass.

Re: March
Bearing in mind the few locations worldwide (as far as I know) that are setup to handle B2 ops, I am surprised, and a little sad, it's sent here so rarely to train.

Re: NOTAM 16-JAN-2019
Its unlikely that both birds are broken ( but not impossible) I was given info about 4 months ago that there will be a long term dragon deployment to fairford this year, although from what I gather it was to start later in the year. Any news on any other deployments? Really miss seeing the big bird...
