Canadians at Newquay
A couple of Canadian visitors have called in to Newquay over the last few days. Firstly on 12th a CP140 , which I believe had an issue on its way to RIAT. Then on Sat.15th a CC177 paid a visit with, I guess, support for the Aurora. It gave me a chance to ensure my camera didn't have any adverse effe...

Re: The Ashes 2023
England lost by just 43 runs, that's probably the runs that they failed to get in the first innings thanks to some undisciplined batting from the top order when they were getting into a good position to put some pressure on the opposing team.

Excellent set. You got more colour than I managed, and great prop blur.
Between us I think we managed a good record of their brief visit

C12's @ Exeter
A couple of record shots of yesterday's visit of two 's C12V 's from the US Army at Exeter for a quick gas n' go. Grey airplanes against a nondescript sky doesn't make for the most exciting of photos. Irrespective of that they were very welcome visitors to this end of the country, please come back a...

Re: Kings birthday flypast / practice
Gah, it's just a one shot affair. No re-dos. Anyone got photos from a previous flypast up the mall that gives an idea of what the view is like from the river? This was taken at last year Queen's Platinum Jubilee flypast from the Millennium Bridge using a 300mm. It is a decent location away from the...

It didn't work for me initially, but persistence won in the end.
When it eventually works it takes you to a Paypal payment page and just go from there.
Just to add, I ordered it on Sat 10/06 p.m. and it came in this morning's post (12/06).
Great service, Ty

Re: 40 Years Chinook
:Vulture 01 BTW hasn't the 'nook been in service longer than that? Several went south in 1982 for the Falklands War, although only BN survived the Atlantic Conveyor loss. [/quote] This aircraft was painted up a couple of years ago when it was the 40th anniversary. Brilliant set. Looks like you were ...

Nice exhibition drive from Max, but, well done to Mercedes and Lewis winning the actual race.
George was entertaining with some good overtakes and a few odd radio calls. Was it really raining George?

I didn't take too many, especially of the C.1's & 3's. Was always saving my film for something more exotic. Re: Italians again
These were not taken in Cawsand Bay but from the western side of The Narrows (I'm guessing from the fortifications there in Mount Edgcumbe Park?) opposite Devil's Point. This would be the optimum place to shoot from after midday, despite the fact that we were lucky with the light on Friday. Spot on...

Italians again
As a follow up to my previous post of the ITS San Marco in the distance off Plymouth, on Friday she came into HMNB Devonport. This gave the locals better opportunity to see her and the the MH101,s which were on deck as she has no hangar facilities where they could be hidden away. A bit of a rare vis...

Italian Navy
From earlier today I managed to catch the ITS San Marco (L 9893) landing platform dock. On deck are 2 EH101 helicopters. She was operating well South of Plymouth, hence the heavy crop. Later, the EH101's launched and were operating around the ship which was then even further out. I got a fewpics wit...

£50. That's less than one pound for every year that they have been in service.
I for one will miss them when they're gone.
