Re: Dolphin in Devon
Great shots of quite a rare visitor down this end of the country, though we have been lucky over the past few weeks with the SwissAF helicopters and currently the French. Thanks for posting

Re: French Helicopters
Thanks Chris and Mo for all the updates this week. I'm planning a trip up tomorrow to try my luck, would Sandy Lane car park be the best place to park for the Burrows?

Hi Chtis
If my records are up to date then the Tigre's should be 2011/BHM & 6010/BJJ. Both different than the 2 visible when they left Devonport on Sunday.

HMNB Devonport helicopters
HMNB Devonport has been host to a small fleet of Assault/LPD ships over the past weekend for some upcoming exercises. Not as many helicopters on view that I would have liked considering how much deck space there was, but, still a few interesting bits to be seen. As well as what I've posted there was...

They stayed about 90mins before departing southbound to CaenMustang531 wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 7:15 pmGreat shots, shame I'm nearly 200 miles away, so would have been impractical to get down there. Out of interest, on the assumption that they've not all gone tech and have departed, does anyone know when they left?

Re: F1 2024
"you can't just change the rules cos it suits." Unfortunately the powers that be that run F1 do change the rules to suit their narrative when it suits. We've seen it a few times over the last few seasons. Abu Dhabi 2021 being a prime example. This is one reason F1 fans are turning away from the spor...

Canadians at Newquay
A couple of Canadian visitors have called in to Newquay over the last few days. Firstly on 12th a CP140 , which I believe had an issue on its way to RIAT. Then on Sat.15th a CC177 paid a visit with, I guess, support for the Aurora. It gave me a chance to ensure my camera didn't have any adverse effe...

Re: The Ashes 2023
England lost by just 43 runs, that's probably the runs that they failed to get in the first innings thanks to some undisciplined batting from the top order when they were getting into a good position to put some pressure on the opposing team.

C12's @ Exeter
A couple of record shots of yesterday's visit of two 's C12V 's from the US Army at Exeter for a quick gas n' go. Grey airplanes against a nondescript sky doesn't make for the most exciting of photos. Irrespective of that they were very welcome visitors to this end of the country, please come back a...

Re: Kings birthday flypast / practice
Gah, it's just a one shot affair. No re-dos. Anyone got photos from a previous flypast up the mall that gives an idea of what the view is like from the river? This was taken at last year Queen's Platinum Jubilee flypast from the Millennium Bridge using a 300mm. It is a decent location away from the...
