Alconbury Air Show 14/08/1971
I was at the above airshow and I have just started converting my colour slides to digital copies. On one taken that day, which to me looks like a Convair C-131 they tail serial is 0-2103. I have checked and re-checked all my type lists and serial lists but can find nothing remotely resembling this s...

Re: Problems with picture DVD/CDs
Hi,
I tried the discs in my LG BlueRay player and despite there being a UGA option it was finding nothing in each of the file folders in the disc.
Back to square one.

Problems with picture DVD/CDs
I have a couple of UGA Media CD-roms, one F-4 Phantom reference and US Air Power 1 I have just found them in a drawer and wanted to play them on my Windows 10 PC. They don't play, it says, because the file type is not supported. I can see the files which are CO8 CO24? From memory there are some grea...

Re: Paul Bennett passing
Sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Also met him many times at "The Hall" during early seventies. Great guy, and as already said by many people, had a few tales to tell. R.I.P.

excellent. Used to love doing the round-Robin on a weekend Alconbury, Lakenheath, Mildenhall, then maybe Bentwaters and Woodbridge just to check out weekend visitors, with lots of F-4's involved.

Looking back at my logs and transferring them to my PC I note that I have 64-14850 RC-135 recorded on this day 55SRW. According to all the serial books the block only ran upo to 64-14849, although I do recall reading that it was not unknown for the batch of RC-135's 14841-14849 to carry bogus serial...

Just looking back through my logs and I first saw XV168 at Honington on 28th February 1975, 38 years ago. So glad it will survive even longer than me, no doubt....

Totally agree. The DC3 was one of the reasons I started my interest in aviation and remember seeing G-AMRA at Gatwick for the first time on 21st June 1969. Happy days

One of 33 B-29's seen at China Lake in 1974. I understand that a few years later one was flown out of their and preserved in a flying state.
