Re: French ATC Strike

Is it written into French ATC's contracts that you must strike at least one every couple of years?

Re: USAF launches 52 F-35A's

SPERX I really don't understand that criticism of the fuel limits of the F-35B when you then start talking about the EE Lightning which was well known to have a fuel tank that drained faster than the Eder reservoir in 1943.

Re: WK163 Canberra?

Too easy to criticise any iteration of VTTS for what they haven't achieved since the Vulcan ceased flying. The plain truth of the current situation & SURELY primary objective is that with nada, zip, zilch is happening to protect the airframe/airframes from the corrosive effects of the UK climate ov...

Re: Based Typhoons and frequencies listing.

This is what I mean about causing confusion when swapping tails of aircraft. ZA463 is 028 wearing the tail of ZA554/046. So perhaps should just be referred to as ZA463?

Re: Latest update

One of the most mismanaged and poorly run "Trusts" I've ever come across. I'd love to know how much money raised was syphoned off to those at the top of the tree at the Trust for personal use.

Re: Plane Spotting Live

I love the way some of you guys criticise an experienced RAF fighter pilot / instructor / tester over his failure to correctly identify immediately from a photo, the exact livery or paint identification of a fast military jet. The guy flew Buccaneer/Jaguar and Hawks for real and on missions. He shou...

Re: Plane Spotting Live

Really found this cringeworthy when I watched it tonight

"And that is a lovely Spitfire isn't it?"
"Lysander"
"Lysander yes"

Probably the worst moment for me.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

I think you are also up against the general public who just go for 'a day out' and couldn't care what displays and what doesn't. For example, this is a quote from a lady who commented on RIAT asking for feedback on the show on Facebook: The children loved the STEM/Techno zone, more so than the flyin...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread

I don't see how you can "miss" seeing the USAF DISPLAY a B-52....maybe those more enlightened than me can shed light on the last time that happened at RIAT (Flying and not Flypast)? And the last time I can personally find the USAF performing a flying display with the B-1 was 2007?? As for the F-22 y...

There is no need for everyone to open up a different thread to discuss their feelings about RIAT 2019. It should all be posted on the 2019 Discussion thread.

I hope that doesn't mean we get the "What aircraft do you want to see at RIAT 2020" or the "Wishlist" threads starting tomorrow
