Re: Yorknight 24

SIXPACK 43 called ops with his issue but I couldn’t quite hear what the problem was.
He requested straight in to land on Leeming approach.

UH-60 Black Hawk sighting, east of Leeds Sunday 11/07/21.

Could anyone help with a sighting of what appeared to be a UH-60 flying very low to the east of Leeds yesterday evening (Sunday) at around 6pm? It was heard ‘growling’ and seen briefly by a relative of mine and was heading south. It was not transmitting its mode S (was not showing on my relatives SB...

Re: Hawks

Agent K, I posted second hand information, which is why I used the word ‘apparently’, as I myself wasn’t certain if it was genuine or not. This time the info actually proved to be wrong. Nobody else had replied to the original poster at the time, so I decided it was worth saying something, despite t...

Re: Hawks

They haven’t flown all week.
Pilots are apparently refusing to fly them due to them not being airworthy.

Sounds like the chicks are using the C/S "Bomber 1 / 2"
Standard procedure for the USAF nowadays it seems, when refuelling the B-1’s, B-2’s and B-52’s.
The Quids will call as “Tanker 1”, “Tanker 2” etc so there’s less chance of a mix up as to who is who.

Strange, every other time I have visited LOO the tucs were facing towards the runway. Seem the remember the JPs doing the same. Maybe I must only go on the ...

Re: Thursday 29th

Does the Hawk T.1 that is showing on ADSB over Marham (XX198 Pirate10) have anything to do with the B-2’s perhaps? (Photoship)
The Hawk departed Leeming a short time ago for the Marham overhead.

Re: Aviation Books to read

Sorry for being slightly off topic, but I didn't know where else to write my question ... Is there any book or website about the Harrier, where one can see the exact type for a specific date? For example, ZGxxx was modificated in May 2010 to a GR.9A, ZGyyy was modificated in April 2008 to a GR.7 et...

Mildenhall today Tues 27th Dec.

Hi all, For info the 100th ARW are NOT flying today. A CV-22 is about to depart to Ramstein, returning later today. And an RC-135 is due back later today, and that's it. One other CV-22 mission has been scrubbed as they didn't know today was classed as a UK bank holiday so no circuits or radar patte...

Re: Apaches at Leeming

Apache just seen heading North through Linconnshire very low down near the River Trent (43C260 - ZJ203?), most likely to be inbound Leeming.
