Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread

Feel sorry for Friday visitors, not seeing not only Typhoon but the F-35B as well, going to leave the general public very sour. I only ever do Friday nowadays, but we stay in the caravan club site and see all the display aircraft from there, no good for helicopters though, but we stay there from We...

Re: HOWLER 31-32 mission 7/11/23

I have a few locals on facebook saying that a big noisy aircraft woke them last night about 1115 pm, with someone saying it was a bone? I live right on the West Wales coast, Milford Haven way... Would one have worked or tracked this way last night?

Heads up Pembrokeshire

Anyone way down west, there is a planned (weather and operational commitments dependant) fly past of a Mildenhall KC135 and a Valley Hawk at the Carew Cheriton control tower museum today, timed for 1330. This is to commemorate the allied forces based there during WW2 and was postponed from last month.

Gripen E just scrubbed due to wind 😔
Doubt it due too wind, the spainish display team seem OK at the minute.
Yes, I was surprised, but the commentary definitely said the wind was too much for the display parameters.

Commentary just said 15mins from the shell garage on the Fairford to Lechlade Rd, into the show so not too bad?

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 General Discussion Thread

Took the decision not to go in today. I'm not a photographer so didn't fancy walking around in this monsoon. The Mrs likes the craft and vintage tents, but didn't fancy the trek from the car park to the show. We have watched it all from the caravan in the warm and dry

Re: Camping 2023 in motorhome. Electrical hookup?

Sorry, just seen this thread, but for what it's worth, this is what I do.... We take our caravan every year, done it for the last 15 or so years now I'd guess, to the caravan and motor home club rally. We go Wens to Monday, 1 day in the show, the rest just in the caravan field where the display airc...

Re: Sea Vixen | Sea Hawk Announcement - Navy Wings

Was this the same aircraft that was in storage at Swansea airport for a few years? I do remember seeing a Vixen there, as Supra mentioned, in the red/Yellow scheme . It was an open day or something (long tome ago!) and I remember being told by a guy who worked there that they were hoping to restore ...
