Would be great if the Canadians could get one of their new Casa 295's to make the short trip up from Seville for the weekend.

Well yes, but they don't belong to them until they've been paid for and handed over....

Re: Paul Bennett passing

That is a very good point Gareth. I often wonder if I knew the person being referred to in the "obituary".
I did know Paul so not relevant in this case, so very sad to hear of his passing.

And if I had looked further down, I would have found a photo of MQ/08:

Note the bird is not fully black, very similar to the top one of your photos.

Stansted sub-forum

Given the relatively high number of military movements, can I suggest that Stansted is given its own sub-forum in the movements area. As others noted in my original message which has been lost in the depths of the Stansted 2-12 thread, Stansted does not merit its own sub-thread, but Brough and Woodf...

Re: MV-22s at Montijo Portugal

I think these will be VMM-774 birds from the Moron detachment. Six aircraft there:
168626/07, 168618/08, 168349/09, 168611/12, 168630/14, 168347/15
Note the bird on the tail on this photo on the net taken a few days earlier:

I vote 08 and 09....

Given the relatively large number of military visitors to Stansted, maybe it is time for it to be given its own sub-forum?

Re: MRTT053 Cambridge

Could I please ask you to reconfirm with whoever checked the c/n at Manchester?
I cannot find a single source or photo to disprove:

19-003 K3 1883 MRTT052 (ex EC-339, F-WWKP)
(004) K4 1891 MRTT053 (ex EC-333, F-WWYV)

However, that does not of course prove that it is correct.

Re: MRTT053 Cambridge

You are confused... 19-002 was delivered in March, so cannot be arriving at Cambridge for painting in October. Here is a photo showing both MRTT051 and serial 19-002: https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9245686 When you say "19-003 MRTT052 c/n 1891 (ex F-WWYV/EC-333)" was visually confirmed as such what...

Just a reminder to all that the A15 is now shut between Bracebridge Heath and the WAVE for the weekend, for continuing works on the Lincoln by-pass.

Re: ITV series - Fighter Pilot, the real Top Gun

Intrigued to see that the female (can't remember her name) Royal Navy pilot will now fly the Typhoon. Strange philosophy. Not at all. It was obviously considered that she was not quite ready for the demands of the F-35. A tour on Typhoons will be a perfect lead-in. In the "old days" RN pilots who p...
