I heard last year that Either Mildenhall or Lakenheath would close in the near future which would allow Fairford to re-open as it was costing too much money, to keep in in its current state! anyway thats what I have heard. Go into start menu and choose run, type in msconfig, then look at start up items and processes and see what you dont need. Any changes you make can be reversed. I had the same problem with my pc. Hope this helps.

Does it say Army or RAF on the other side? At Kemble airshow a few years back there was a merlin with different squadron markings either side, apparently they had to share it . Just a thought. That was because there was two RAF Merlin squadrons, with the aircraft pooled between each. I see, cheers ...

Just had a Merlin doing some tight turns and went into a steep dive just south of Chipping Campden, and a Herc was just heading for Brize way if that's any use?
