Nikon's direct replacement for the old 70-300 lens that you have is the Nikkor 70-300mm f4.5-5.6E ED VR AF-P. It is an FX lens. Thanks guys. Yes, very lucky. Photos are rather samey as it was a pairs aerobatics sortie. No photos when we moved to the No.1 slot for a time. Having said that, what an experience! Photo of the pair flying later that day in the Airshow thread shows what we were typically doing.
