Re: I've never liked Renaults !!!!

As for going into neutral, it could have been an auto and if it's a new car, there's far too many electronic systems involved in that as well! Even if it was an auto, it's still got a neutral. Or he could have put it into reverse or 1 or 2 and exploded the engine, but stopped the car at least! Or d...

Re: I've never liked Renaults !!!!

How does turning the engine off not work? The key barrel jammed? And the car couldn't be put into neutral? As you say, doesn't make a lot of sense.

Also, why would the Police need to contact a Renault engineer to be told to turn the engine off?

Why didn't he turn the engine off and coast to stop?

Airfix 1/72 Hawker Hunter FGA9 - 111 Sqn, Black Arrows

Following on from my foray into rattle-can spraying my 1/72 Spit in silver, I bought a can of gloss black! So it was either a Hawk or something more exotic. It's not exactly exotic and when the gear is down, it's a tail-sitter, but I'm still pleased. Decals from Hannants, paints from Halfords, chopp...

Re: Airfix 1/72 Hawker Hunter FGA9

It's a little late for 'should do's' Steve!

Anyway, she's all done now, wheels up, just got to wait for the canopy and pitot to dry and then boom, I'll get some shots in the Gallery. Just got to think how to display her, any ideas?

Re: Airfix 1/72 Hawker Hunter FGA9

I'm afraid it's all academic now, as I dry fitted the rear undercarriage - and she's a tail-sitter!! So, wheels off, doors up and now she'll be a flyer!

I've seen some Hunters with white gear legs as well. May just do the whole aluminium and be done with it!

Re: Airfix 1/72 Hawker Hunter FGA9

Does anyone happen to know what colour the undercarriage legs, bays and inside of undercarriage doors were on the Black Arrows Hunters? The Xtradecal set seems rather lacking in detail for this particular scheme.

Cheers

Here she is, sprayed and dried. Again, sprayed using a Halfords rattle-can. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8086/8460282589_1e12a13455_b.jpg DSC_0023 by SteveS - FC , on Flickr http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8517/8460283631_1b6b556e02_b.jpg DSC_0024 by SteveS - FC , on Flickr So, she will indeed be of ...

Airfix 1/72 Hawker Hunter FGA9

Got hold of this little kit, along with three other British fighter jets (WIPs to follow). Going OOB apart from the decals which have been ordered from Hannants and should be on my doorstep tomorrow. The box - http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8367/8456697064_7e740baf1f_b.jpg DSC_0014 by SteveS - FC , o...

Revell Spitfire Mk.V - 1/72 - Bare metal

Hi all, Before the detail-police mention it, yes this is a fictional scheme. It's built OOB with the kit decals, but this was an attempt to see how smooth a finish I could get with an aluminium rattle-can. The rattle-cans are Halford's own, a grey primer followed by an aluminium finish. In other new...
