Cleethorpes AFD 2021

Just looking at this event, next weekend 26/27th June. Only a brief mention of any flying display, and with timed tickets I guess they won't be having any big pullers like the Reds or Typhoon, plus it looks like its confined to a showground rather than the sea front as usual. Anyone know what, if an...

Re: Waddington viewing guides.

New Waddington director frequency in use this morning, I can only hear the a/c on it - 369.45 Has this replaced 280.175?? 369.45 is Cranwell PAR frequency, Waddo's radar is broken, so they are using this frequency to operate a director service for Waddo/Scampton from Cranwell, which explai...

Re: Waddington viewing guides.

I'm not sure Richard, I haven't heard 345.075 or 280.175 in use today at all.
I hope it hasn't, not being able to hear the controller 3 miles away is worrying! haha.

I'll see what I can find out.

Re: Newark Air Museum Events 2021

Another recommendation from me, attended a couple of events a few years back and ended up selling everything I took.

I'll be back this time looking to spend the money though, hoping there's a fair few kits on sale.

Re: Log 7-9th June

Noticed today ZZ416 departed to Hawarden as Vulcan 46, the crew look to have returned in ZZ418 calling Vulcan 48.

Was hoping we'd have a full complement of Shadows now but we're at 5.

Will try confirm whether it's an R1 or R1+ model, I think it's still a 1.

Shame about the Jags, had a few chances to get one at a good price at let it do each time... I'm quite happy with what I've got so far, I think I'll add these on the RAF to do list.... Re: RAF Jets in 1/48

Thanks for your list Binbrook!! I did enjoy building the Canberra's, will keep a look out for a B2/B(I)8. The Jet provost is on the to do list after seeing some good examples on here, and the Chipmunk does look tempting despite not being a jet. I'd forgotten about the TSR2!! Although I hate painting...
