Does anyone know if Edinburgh is to get a flypast over the Castle or does it mean they are taking off from the airport? The coordinates given are for the airport.

I have seen a Herc taking off within the last few days and unless I'm mistaken a C17A Globemaster at 11.19am on Wednesday morning when on the M9.
Both too far away to even identify the colour scheme for country of origin.

According to stu5748 on the Edinburgh/Tattoo Flypast 2012 post they were;
Tornado "098" and "120" (2) Sqn marks

Any visual confirmation that flypast took place over castle and city on Monday 6 Aug?
I suspect is was cancelled at last minute due to low cloudbase and local squall.
I have a good vantage point and until Monday had a 100% success rate in seeing it going back years.

Fly past on tonight. 7.30 on the dot over the castle.
