Re: St.Mawgan International Air Day: 6th August 1975 (Pic. Heavy)
The green replacing the tan was the start of the 'European one' camo scheme, the lighter green being replaced later with a dark green. Disagree with that. First, in Euro 1 (lizard) the tan was replaced by a dark gray ( and that’s another story) not green; second, that green was seen on only a few a...

Avord French AF JPO
Full report on UKAR but here are a few other shots from this small but perfectly formed show... Bizarre that I've had to wait so long to shoot a current full Reds line up - something that was quite common back in the day...! I've finally binned off photobucket so will hopefully start to post more no...

Re: RAF Hawk display pilots
Nor sure if its relevant, in this post in the photography section https://www.fightercontrol.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=239309 4 minutes in there's an RN Hawk display team, is it exclusively RAF solo you're after? Thanks, Black Seahawks I think they were called. Displayed with FRA/Cobham Falc...

Re: St. Mawgan International Air Day 1976. Picture heavy.
Is that the St Athan hack JP 4?? According to 'Airport Data's XS177 :- "Operating from RAF St. Athan in 1990, this was then the sole remaining Jet Provost T.4 in service with the Royal Air Force." A few years prior to my photo, it was with the 'Macaws' display team. I don't know where it was based ...

Always a risk going for 25, especially flying shots but it's paid off in spades here Mike. Glorious selection! Is that the St Athan hack JP 4??

What an amazing airshow that must have been! The only B(I)8 modded French Canberra and factory fresh Jag and F1 again, most of the test a/c seem to be from CEAM though. And WTD dayglo'd German '104, incredible stuff...

Brilliant stuff. Incredible to think that, despite their appearance the Drakens were new in Danish service and the Flamant would still be very much in operational!

Thanks for sharing these with us, I attended this show and I was lucky enough to have a Mum who was happy to take me and a schoolmate down to Somerset for the day. It was close to a 300 mile round trip too. I remember that the show was marred by the sad incident, when the Harrier pilot was killed a...

So is one of the laybys still useable on the 1178 bend? Absolute madness to come those off, zero point, just causes more frustration and danger!

No parking on roadside
Cops have just moved all cars parked on the side of the road, pull in to forest track still okay. Apparently its an urban clearway and they're saying that and the fact there have been a few near misses recently (lorries mentioned) is why they're enforcibg it now.
