Re: California Spotting (Lemoore)

When I went there a good few years ago I hung round the missile park for a while. Then when I knew there was inbounds I drove to Wood Road which is on the centreline off Highway 1. I’d heard the Navy doesn’t like photos being taken when at the Missile Park. Had no problems there and saw some nice Kf...

Re: UK Low flying 1970s, 1980s

Living in Preston,Lancs between the British Aerospace factories Warton and Salmesbury, the skys were full of jets in the late 70’s and 80’s. Remember after school on warm summer evenings I used to watch aircraft fly over with my binoculars,a lot of them where military at high level going into the lak...

Hi All, Paid a quick visit as we were in the area, finding just the 1 Typhoon outside between 1030 and 1130. ZR512/QA411 Typhoon Qatari marks. Had hoped for a couple more or open hangar doors but no such luck. Maybe next time. Rgds, Dave Try RAF Coningsby if you want to see more Typhoons... ....but...

Re: Airband radio versus SDR

I really like listening to the mil air comms.I have Yupi 7100 and live in Lancashire so i struggle to get any comms the other side of the pennines, let alone the north sea danger areas. It's great how you can listen to streams on the net via you tube etc. It does get a little annoying though when a f...

Re: Two more US F-35 Sqns to the UK

For what’s my view worth I would hazard a guess at him meaning the two sqns are the ones what have always been planned to arrive.
It’s just sounds like political spin.
Wouldn’t be surprised though if we get a few f-35 sqns over on tdy while the two LN sqns get a sufficient number of airframes.

Or are they here en-route back to the US from the Middle East?

Re: Public access land under runway 24 approach

What’s going on with the road leading upto the viewing area.
Wasn’t there rumours off putting logs down etc to stop people parking on the verge?
And do people still walk up the road towards the farm building?

Re: Lakenheath Runway 24 24/6

And whats the status of the road leading upto the viewing area. Are cars still parking on the side of the road there?
Wasn’t there talk of logs being put alongside the road so we couldn’t park there,or something like that.
