Re: Rising Panther 20th March
A delayed look at this excellent set and what a fabulous varied range of photo opportunities you had ... excellent light and backdrops too. Really nice to see such a good set out of OTA and, having been at Eshott for a second day of Ex. Rising Panther a couple of days later, pleased to see what was ...

Re: Valhalla Formation from Valhalla 1
Wonderful set of quality images that help give a good overview of the Farewell Tour from one of the best seats in the house. Well captured and thanks very much for sharing. A sad day but life goes on in different ways. Hope to catch you up north in the not too distant future.
Cheers

A Chinook (which was with them at Odiham, is I think meant to be joining again once they reach Lee Valley prior to routing along Thames.

Re: Farewell Lynx Flight
I think Chinook will be the flying platform for video / photographers to record the final flight? I'm not watching any video coverage yet but presume by end of day that we'll get the view from the Chinook's rampBuccs2b wrote:Chinook, presumably the escort for the London section, heading NE over Croydon

Re: AAC Wildcats at Barton 19/09/2017
Fab photos and great light today.
I believe that this pair (visual, but distant photos show them as Army Wildcats but can't read serials) ended up at RAF Spadeadam arriving from the SE at about 16:35 and leaving back SE at 17:25. They operated at medium level above the range. Cheers, Chris

Great pictures Chris. Where is the FARP/harrier landing strip located. Many thanks, Tony Thanks. The strip is about 3.60km to the NE of the main entrance from the A68, and should be visible on Google Maps or OS maps. If red flags are up there will or may be restricted access. Red flags were not fly...

US Army Apache 419 on Ex at Otterburn - Fri 8th Sept.
A visit to Otterburn Training Area (OTA) mid-afternoon on Friday 8th seemed a bit of a gamble with uncertainties about whether anything would be there, let alone flying, in squally weather. But the chance to catch the rare sight of a US Army Apache operating in the north was too good an opportunity ...
