Re: Getting the Ball Rolling - Duxford VE Day Flying
Good mix covering most of the flying. Weather was lovely except for the wind being a bit strong (shame the R4D couldn't fly - was looking forward to it but still great to see her again after 40 years!) Indeed - hopefully there'll be plenty more chances to see it in the air over the next few months....

Magic I will update the header list That is two definitely heard from 809 - Firecrest and Flame unless anyone else has heard others. Ta Not sure which squadron, but "Dante" has been heard recently and today we`ve had "Leroy" and what sounded like "Jenkins", but it was hard to define the latter.

Thank you very much.Nighthawke wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 8:13 pmPutting the registration in the ADS-B search and using the history section shows it left at 12:18 on the 13th.
I did look through the history but couldn`t see it, so I appreciate the double check.

Re: Sensor cleaning
XWP29 / Supra, Thank you very much for your replies. The cleaning method is very useful, even though many moons ago I did use to clean my own sensor I feel very out of practise. That was when I had a Fuji S2 which, at the time, was way out ahead of both Canon and Nikon with a 12 MP sensor. How times...

Re: Sensor cleaning
Just bumping this old thread as I`ve recently had a camera returned from Nikon after a shutter replacement and it came back with a mark on the sensor. It`s supposed to have had a "professional" clean but I guess in transit a particle of dust has got on the sensor. Because it`s such a long time to-an...

Not sure what's happened to last one
Not sure about J-5003 but it flew early on Monday on its own. Perhaps it was a test flight and it`s poorly? Has it flown since Monday I wonder?

Re: Yorknite 2023
T-785 has just departed as SUI541. Routine or something to do with the end of the deployment? Routine. Deployment should end like last year with last flying (exercise) day Wednesday, F/A-18s home Thursday and remainder of the personnel Friday. Thats if the weather doesn`t cause any further problems.

Re: Yorknite 2023
Nice Logic the only possible fly in the ointment is J-5021. To my knowledge this has not been seen (at least in daylight hours) since its arrival on 20th November If you just scroll back a page you`ll note this was raised by a previous poster, to which I replied. Obviously we`re a bit further on no...

Re: Yorknite 2023
Do we know which airframes left? I don`t know for certain because I wasn`t there, but it would seem very possible it would have been two F/A-18Ds based on what happened during last years exercise. Last year they sent all the two-seaters from Det.1 back home during the third week and brought in a ne...

We didn't stay for their return due to the blizzard !! Thanks for the reply and times. Apparently J-5002/232 were seen ...
