Re: Tempest - Britain's new stealth fighter

I just hope that they build something with a decent range/endurance that doesn't need to plug into a tanker (of which we have very limited numbers) almost as soon as it leaves the ground in order to do anything useful.

Re: Road accident nuisance phone calls

I too have a BT8500 phone, set to reject withheld, unavailable, international, 00 and several other number blocks, as well as a whole lot of scam and fake numbers.

ZP801 would be an appropriate and available serial for the first one!

Re: NOTAM - No fuel for visitors

If I've read the NOTAM correctly the problem will last for the next 2 months? Will TANSOR be operating from elsewhere if required?

Still available on 4od hopefully at this link http://www.channel4.com/programmes/mayd ... od#3674874

Plenty of footage and comms including the actual mayday call.

I thought that John Cameron did very well to ''hold the fort until the cavalry arrived''.

Re: Sandtoft Jet Provosts

I did a 'hands on' flight in G-BWGT with Eddie in 2005. Basically , steep climb after take off, roll, then 3 large circuits/general handling ( "fly around that cloud" ) going as far as M180/M18 Junction. Eddie flew the approaches and final landing. Cost at the time £375 as membership of the JP Club.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, or is in the wrong area, but certainly worth a listen
