Re: Electric Cars. Yes No or whatever!

Why do certain members have so many problems using the 'Quote' function, it's not exactly rocket science!

Re: Ex Chameleon

I'd take all of the serials with a massive pinch of salt, they all need Mark 1 eyeball confirmation!

Re: BOB Flypast 1990 Buckingham Palace Call Signs?

Aren't the letters & numbers in that list just a key for the diagram of the flypast in the bound volume, they can't be callsigns surely!

Re: Electric Cars. Yes No or whatever!

Interesting stuff Tooks, hopefully the supply of rapid chargers can keep well ahead of the demand for EVs, and that the range per charge improves greatly in the next couple of years.

Re: Electric Cars. Yes No or whatever!

You wouldn’t need to stop for ‘hours’. On a CCS Rapid Charger, the MG5 can recharge at a peak 80kW, so 10-80% battery charge would be around 30 mins. To get to London from Preston, assuming you had charging at the end, you’d probably need no more than 10 mins, and you’d have no Congestion Charge ei...

£22k for a car that can't even go from Preston to London without having to stop for hours to recharge?

Errrmmm.......no thanks!

The Leeming FB page reckons that only 3 are due, strange having a NOTAM for just 3 aircraft! :S

Re: London Flypasts 1990 and 2007

Just re-visited this thread as I was lucky enough to receive the "Battle Of Britain Flypast Memorial" book for the 1990 flypast over London. Just checked that list of serials of aircraft and there are several missing from all the fighter formations. All were box 16 formations but that list has seve...

Re: AE67A6 left Lossiemouth

OK thanks. I used to be a miltary aircraft spotter back in the 70s/early 80s and now I am virtually retired have renewed my interest. Back then Lossie had Jaguars and Gannets and Shacks and I even got a flight in a Shack while on cadet camp there one year which was a great experience. Welcome back ...

Re: AE67A6 left Lossiemouth

Ah yes, thanks, reading the thread properly I can see that the first poster is obviously at Lossie!. Is it true that they swap ADS-B codes between aircraft or is that incorrect? Whenever I have looked at lists of ADS-B codes for P8s elsewhere it usually has no info on the reg no or just says "Vario...

At last I've found a forum that can identify the P-8s that fly over here (Leeds) regularly but only seem to show up as ADS-B numbers on trackers. How are the reg nos found if you don't mind me asking?
By visual confirmation of the serial by various members that live very close to Lossiemouth. :)

Overfly of ZJ222 added
Best be careful with reporting the serials of Apaches that appear on tracking sites, for instance ZJ188 is pretending to be '187 and '233 is pretending to be '230. There are others as well.

Edit :- ZJ222 went to Mesa over a year ago, so another Apache is using it's box.

I think C24 is trying very poorly to poke fun at Alan's post by asking how 2 aircraft could possibly share one exhaust between them.

Re: Overflown by 2 fighter jets

Will Alan be able to see the other thread as this is his 1st post or has that rule been removed? Darren That's a good point, he won't be able to see the Heads-up/OTT section until he has posted 5 times on the forum, but the link goes to the NOTAM section which he 'should' have access to. Alan, the ...

Sister took a paracetamol one hour before her jab and had no after effects whatsoever apart from a bit of soreness in h...

Re: Overflown by 2 fighter jets

My house in Grantham was overflown by 2 very low flying delta wing aircraft with single large jet exhaust. Very smokey without reheat as well. Any visiting air forces here at the moment? Only managed to glimpse them as obviously not expecting fly past. Don't think they were F35's as didn't see twin...

Hi Ian,

I would be interested in the Phantom Squadron stickers,I have sent a PM but it can be a tad slow in leaving the outbox

Thanks
It'll stay in your Outbox until Ian reads it, then it'll be in your Sent items.
