Quick climbs and head on reaper 18th March

Really great Morning at Lakenheath. Slightly slow start to the morning but was definitely worth the wait when they did get going. and nice (for me) to be up there with some favourable weather! 06 quick climbs in sunshine, you can't go wrong! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51948611900_390b17541e...

Lakenheath 10th Jan, and an Apache at Wattisham

I Don't think I've posted on here since 2017!? Thought I'd share a few from an enjoyable Friday morning at LN. My first time at a base since the Tornado finale at Marham! Nothing remarkable, but the early morning light was quite nice and made it a bit more interesting photographically. Oh, and a qui...

Cheers guys, Trev, my apologies I never spotted you in case you put your hand up etc, We've had some nice (Garden spotting) passes from the A400 out our way though haven't we, I believe i'm only down the road from you in Bacton... JW 2017-1 MOD Woodbridge Suffolk (Sunday 2nd April)

Popped over to Woodbridge today to try and catch the Atlas that was due in, but unfortunately I had to leave before it arrived. However we (me and the kids) were treated to a couple of hours of rotary action! This was my first time taking pictures at Woodbridge so I wasn't too sure where to go but w...

Re: French ex, Puma's and gazelles at Wattisham.

Hi Trev, thanks. The RAF puma shots are from crash gate 4? (I think) down the little lane from the village of wattisham at the south west corner of the base near the old 74sqd northern HAS site. Others were taken near the memorial crash gate, the after dark shots taken just up (heading west) from th...

French ex, Puma's and gazelles at Wattisham.

Popped over to Wattisham after work on Thursday to see if I could catch any of the aircraft on exercise. Luck would have it that within half an hour of me being there I got 2 Gazelles, 1 RAF puma and 4 French Pumas along with a 2 ship of Apaches recovering. The light was nice too, although the sun d...

F-22A's Departing hall, My take on a brilliant morning!

An opportunity not to be missed! Found out about the Raptor stop over when I got home from work Friday. Speculation about them leaving some time Saturday meant a quick phone call to the nook campsite and a frantic root around in the garage for the tent! Half hour later me and my 6 year old son were ...

It's a shame you didn't make it earlier Gary, at least you would have made more of it with the correct camera settings Unlike Numpty here! 1/125th is always risky business for me, it's really a case of spray and pray, haha.

Wattisham AHDT Rehearsal 29/04/15

Evening guys, I was over Wattisham last night helping my dad put up a fence. Thought i'd chuck the camera/scanner in the car "just in case" there was much going on. Tuned in to wattisham at around 16:30pm whilst digging in the fence posts and heard something about a display slot delayed till 17:20.....

A few different angles from Mildenhall (Friday 10th April)

Spent a couple of hours in Johns field in the afternoon, Managed to catch the "U-boat" returning and also a few locals. Weather was comfortably warm but not great for photos, very milky/hazy conditions, but it was worth the trip to catch the RC135U, never seen this type before. Mostly close up stuff...
