Re: Tornado GR4 Fleet General Info
ZA614/076 is still at RAF Marham, parked up opposite 93EA - looks complete, and still fitted with its drop tanks. Long shot today from the RAF Marham Friends and Families day. Apparently its the only GR4 left at Marham - I wonder where the others ended up in the end. http://www.skibob.org/rochfort/T...

Red Arrows display - 2 up in some of the jets
The Reds have just completed their display at Duxford. The display was up to their usual high quality, but with low cloud my photos are sh!t. However, going through the pictures, I noticed that at least two of the Jets had a back seat "passenger". I thought they were supposed to fly displays solo, a...

Re: Daks over Normandy: 2-5 June 2019@Duxford
Driving home on the A505 out of Royston at 18.25 and saw the stream of Daks heading out for the practice. There also appeared to be a fighter escort. Lost count of how many were in the stream. 11 have just returned, flying over the house at 500ft in Vics of 3 plus 2 stragglers, breaking to land. Wha...

Re: Project TONKER
Project TONKER is the official name given to the project by the RAF Navigator that instigated the project - I wont name him, but he was one of the navigators that flew in the Diamond 9 at the end of February. He also appears in numerous pictures here on the forum, but sat in the back seat with a fly...

Project TONKER
Some Fighter Control members may be aware of Project TONKER, but until now it appears to have been a closely guarded secret. Mods, if this transgresses the forum rules I apologise now, but this could be a once in a lifetime to get a unique Tornado memento. I have no personal financial interest in th...

Re: Duxford September Airshow 2014
Absolutely fantastic day, made even better by getting a photo of the 2 Lancs as they flew over Sally B as she was taxiing out to the runway.
Felt sorry for those stuck in the traffic, but it was always going to be a busy day - 24,000 through the gates on Sunday !
