A friend at Newbury said both teams circled the town 3 times, which was mostly cloud free by then, getting into formation prior to the run in to London. Looked good apparently. More to the west where i was positioned en route (near Faringdon) was wet and very low cloud - i think they bypassed this p...

Thunderstorms due here from 2:30pm so suspect the dawn shattering launch (was ace) was due to that factor.

Does anyone know why camo Torndado GR's often had 4x white and red ejector warning symbols under the canopy for the front seater? I've wondered this since the 80's! Didnt see the exact time but mission aircraft departed about 9:10am (ish) on 09 then turned quickly over town to head NNW.

27 from my lounge window. Departed west, before turning north west pretty quickly.

Will presumably return on 27 too as the wind is just about NNW by 3-5pm. Departed on 27 even though its NNE at the moment.
