Thanks Gareth, some years ago I sat at the 24 end for a few hours before realising why nothing was occurring.

Delighted to report that the heavy duty temporary road surface to the new access facility adjacent CG1 has been lifted and will allow the grass to recover.. Hence, large lorry movements have finished, and with luck all contractors will finish soon. Then, of course, Matey will be pondering a new fenc...

Re: Role demo at Marham Wednesday 13th November 2019
When we had Tornado, Role Demo would normally mean a two ship low level airfield attack from every direction, culminating in the pair holding hands in full reheat at tree top height.
Last time, we didn't enjoy the same experience, hence I'm in many minds as to whether I'll make the short journey.

A quiet day at the gate yesterday waiting for a drop of night flying. Nevertheless, I was truly entertained by the undulating flight of a large flock of birds, in and out of the adjacent bushes. I later identified these birds as Fieldfare, and understand that they come over here from northern Europe...

I like the above photo - I was stood on the bank by the tower so they are in front of you , I guess it depends on on what panel they are shooting at. You can't walk out over the mud flats , can you?. No, You can't walk out ,You have to stay on the sea wall but if you head right you end up under the...

Perhaps due to inappropriate parking, or the excessive number of visitors toward the end of school holidays, the gate has been coned off for a few weeks. Laminated notices, complete with apology for any inconvenience, advise that the gate will remain coned off for large load vehicle access until 18t...

Have enjoyed F1 for more than 50 years, nothing better than Jochen Rindt at Druids.
Sadly, the Ch4 coverage, and particularly the opening 20 minute preamble, leave me wondering.

If they're stored, it seems to me that they have been put away somewhere, and not on parade for your camera.

I live no more than 6 miles as the crow goes from MAM24, and always enjoyed hearing Tornardos departure. Similarly, F35B (unlit more noisy than a burning F15), is a delight. Holbeach is no further away, in the other direction, and if I can't hear anything from the side of my head then fast jets are ...

Thought it might be F35s, as Coningsby noted on days.

From what I have noted over the years, BBMF board tends to be updated after the event - and sometimes long after the event.

I am absolutely delighted to advise that Christabel and Owen have today seen Jimbo, (Spilsby), down at the gate.
Jimbo, who incidentally is well into his 86th year, was sat next to his new car chugging away on a cigar.
I'm sure that Doris will also be pleased to hear this good news.

For those travelling from Norfolk and area, the first two dates for the reduction of the swing bridge at Sutton Bridge on the A17 to single lane traffic light controlled crossing are 4/5 September. Suggest alternative route is plotted as delays expected to be substantial. A17 /Wisbech/ A1101/A17 Fu...
