Re: RAF Coningsby FAQ's

Wise words Ghastly, noted Noel has been a FCer since 2009 and really should know a lot better.

Re: Culling

Following an approved medical visit to Hunstanton yesterday, I can report that 30+ duck are happily ensconced on the green overlooking the bus station. Further, that traffic was stopping to allow their free movement. With regard to the Muntjac, who continue to frequent the local highways and byways ...

Kevin Bacon

You may all recall watching the many repeated Apollo 13 moon trip.
You may also recall Kevin Bacon being the pilot that brought her down safely
Who has he upset such that his activity nowadays is doing adverts for EE mobile phones.

Re: WHY WHY WHY

Quite right VG. Yesterday, whilst venturing out for permitted essentials, my main concern was the high %age of drivers :- a) Those annoying bright LED running lights, and nothing else at front or rear. b) Side lights only. c) No lights at all. For once I was hoping to see some of The Counties Finest...

Re: ** Tuesday Club.. Info, Updates & Messages **

New set of regulations starting today, still can't be out and about as we may wish.
Do hope that all Tuesday Club members and all you other FCers stay safe, take the jab, and come back on parade next year.

Re: Culling

Oh Deer!!!!. They do very strange things in Norfolk, like Alpaca trekking at Wells-next -to Sea, whereas in Suffolk we do sensible things........but I can't think what they are at the moment. :S :S Those Alpaca also provide another useful function - when in their field they give protection to a num...

Further :-
Recently noted 2 or 3 ducks on the green, and yesterday during a drive by I saw dozens on parade just like the earlier times.

Re: TV heads-up

During early 70s, on Buccaneers at Honington, we had a USAF exchange pilot on 237 OCU - lovely man. He had flown a lot more than 100 hours in Vietnam, and not been shot down. Sadly, he was not aware that Holbeach fog goes right down to zero feet. When sent down by his leader, he just kept going, and...

Jasmine Harman is variously recorded as between 5ft 7 and 5ft 9, and always wears flat footwear.
Why is it that when presenting "A place in the sun", 99℅ of the blokes look shorter than her?
And that's when standing on a level surface.

Re: ** Tuesday Club.. Info, Updates & Messages **

Given 48FW exercise this coming week, The Tuesday Club may well elect to turn left for LN rather than right for CBY. Wednesday may be the better day, and will also allow a check of all those US F35s at MAM whilst on route. Thursday may be interesting at CBY, when departing friends leave in the tradi...

Re: Culling

So there is absolutely no evidence that a cull has taken place, the birds may have just moved on. Sorry, I don't think so, these birds enjoy the continual supply of treats - particularly chips from the visitors and holiday makers. I am advised that they were cleared out previously, about five years...

Re: Culling

Our nearby seaside resort of Hunstanton had hundreds of wild duck, a mixture of Mallard and a number of cross breeds and perhaps private escapees. Sadly, all of a sudden they have all disappeared. Also present were many more gulls, Black Headed/Herring/Common and Lesser Black Headed. These, a few d...

Re: Tesco phone/switchboard

Thank you all for your helpful advice. Returned to Tesco yesterday afternoon to find that phone dept. was manned by only two staff who were on break until 15.00. Got hold of PAC transfer code which wouldn't work. So, went into Kings Lynn "3" mobile shop to get it sorted. Still wouldn't work. Called ...
