Re: Photos from brize 5.6.13
Just a couple of comments....
1: Is actually a PA31 - Navajo Chieftain, not a King Air.
7: Is an RAF Voyager Mk2 (MRTT version of the A330). A KC30 (A) would make it RAAF.
Other than that good shots. Cheers

Re: Brize Fairford Arrival Boeing 747-47UF
My mistake. I'm sure I've seen complaints about civvy stuff on here in the past. Thats why I understood there was a military base listing on the Civil Forum.... p.s. caps lock off now...

Re: C17 Emergency
Yes, could have been. Just that two engines to the front and one at the rear, followed by a tow to a stand looked pretty real No problem though, just wondered what it was.

Re: Voyager due
What the hell has a BMW got to do with it? The A330 has been around for years. Tanking is well tried and accepted. What's the big deal..... just get on with it.

Re: Voyager due
As a new contributor to this subject. I'm not bothered about the reg. But as a taxpayer... get the damn things in the air, doing the job they are designed for... starting to look like another MOD Procurement cock up... over specified, over complicated, over priced.

Lyneham - early morning
A C130 was into Lyneham at about 00:40 this morning. It came across Bassett low and fast and I'm pretty sure it landed. I had thought though that the field was now closed after midnight...? Anyone have any ideas what it was up to?

RAF A330
At about 15:10 an RAF A330 crossed here (Swindon) at about 5000 feet heading in direction of Brize. Assuming Brize was the destination did anyone pick up the regn., I believe there are two at present? Mst admit looked very stable in the conditions today at this low level.
