Spadeadam Thurs 14 Sept
Pleasant afternoon watching the Army Wildcats working the range, also the bonus of a brief visit from a pair of US HH60 Pave Hawks - with 97-26774 close enough for a pic. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53190400239_af22deaf44_o.jpg 1-ZZ388HOUSE2 by , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535...

Re: RAF's shiny new Falcon
Caught G-ZAHS up here at Newcastle a few days ago (Wednesday 21st) - presumably a training flight. I had read somewhere that they will be flying with a mixture of RAF and Centreline Aviation crew before becoming fully 32 Squadron operated with the aircraft known as the "Envoy IV". https://live.stati...

Starting to feel old when I recall that last afterburner departure I watched from Leeming was a based Tornado F.3 :'( With the 493rd's F15's in town for most of the week (9 F15C'S & 1 F15D I believe) had a drive down to N.Yorkshire yesterday (Tues 24/8) in the hope of a shot or two ... https://live....

roughcutter ..... sadly the last one held at Luqa was in 2015, since then displays when they went ahead have taken place over the sea at Smart City (not far south east of the Grand Harbour entrance). I had heard that this years was to be over the more touristy St Paul's area but don't know if that's...

Re: malta airshow 2020
Shame but to be expected I guess.
Was becoming difficult to get there anyway from my part of the world , Jet2 had already dropped their Malta flights from Newcastle for 2020 - and now it seems easyjet are not flying the route until the end of October.

Re: malta airshow 2020
Spotted a post yesterday from the Malta Aviation Society - the 2020 Airshow IS going ahead - sadly flying display will not be at the airfield but at what I am guessing will be the St Paul's area. Still pretty positive news all things considered :thumb: No news on participants or static display yet. ...

Re: MADRAS 712 - QRA tanker returns.
Very nice shot ..... do the QRA tanker flights use a different call sign or squawk that identifies them as such ?
I see a good few Voyagers high over my part of the world (mainly on screen) but wouldn't know if they are regular flights or QRA related.
Cheers

East Fortune Saturday July 28
Although I probably live closer to Sunderland (and the display there on the same day), a combination of the Vietnam veteran Huey & Loach plus the much more pleasant East Fortune airfield make this show the one for me. Sadly a good few older aircraft cancelled due to cross winds at Newcastle :( - per...
