Re: Llangeinor Irvin GQ Limited, Wales, UK Draken

Hi all.
Remember seeing this as a roadrunner in the dawn on the A40 at the Monmouth traffic lights near the tunnel.
Thankfully it stopped shortly afterwards at the services near Raglan, thus enabling me to get the serial.
Date was 17th June 2004.

No problem with car hire or driving on Japanese roads, they even drive on the left !! Local drivers seemed very courteous and drove at sensible speeds to the given road conditions. The in car Satnav system of phone numbers caused a small headache as we had prepared our route using coordinates. Road...

Re: Swiss Hornets arrival

Nope.
The only one I needed was lost in 2015.
Would be interesting to know how many times J-5235 visited the UK and when.

Do wish J-5001 would fly more. Need a photo to complete my file.
Not sure if it's still at Emmen or elsewhere.

Saw photos of the Pc24 from earlier visit , smart machine.

Wow!! that’s very impressive, is it taken inside the base?
No.
Looks to have been taken from US-62(Colonel Aaron C Burleson Memorial Highway) which runs just south of the base. Gives good views over the southern ramps.

Update from Daily Fail on 31/10/2019

The usual mistakes in the article but a couple of good videos, the armchair warrior comments worth a chuckle too.

Re: Patrouille de France 2 accident - off runway

I think they must of had a big swap over last year because at Cambridge 24/5/2018 ( for Duxford ) I needed 5! including E146 which was number 5 that day Would I be right in thinking E68 E87 E127 E129 E146 Were your 5? I've done a show at Tours plus three visits on normal flying days in the 80s/90s ...

Re: Patrouille de France 2 accident - off runway

Hi Folks Good to hear the pilot and nobody else was hurt. Checked my records and having missed RIAT this year and not seen them in Paris was annoyed to need E146. Not sure how often the PDF swap airframes or how long E146 was with them. Has anyone ever run a list of how many different Alpha they've ...

And the 2nd innings collapse well under way.

One interesting stat.
Leach's 92 in second innings may be the first time a tail ender has outscored the entire side in the first!

Re: Starlifter '40612'

Hi Folks Loved reading about this. I personally started late on mil and only bagged 40612 on Jan 18th 1989, obviously at the 'Hall' So my question is. Was 40612 really more regular than other C141 here or did the legend start purely by accident? I assume most people have their own lists of visitors ...
