Thanks all. And also apparently MIA authorities are not too keen to have the airshow anymore on their property i.e.airfield, so fingers crossed that we have a show next year

Israel Air Force
An Israel Air Force Lockheed KC-130H Karnaf paid a visit to Malta today. These two photos are dedicated to a fellow spotter who fell ill today and died whilst doing what he loves best..spotting. May he rest in peace. http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb354/mbo570/MIA%202017/4361mbo_zpsqlvregsm.jpg...

I ended up getting a viewing village garden upgrade. I want to be nearer to the crowdline and the stand seems to be set some way back.

Re: Park and view west Monday
Thanks..i am into photography and most probably will be using a 70-300mm lens. West sounds interesting..my only concern is if the aircraft have already gained some altitude. But as long as they stay low it would not be a problem.
I understand you cannot go from east to west..is that correct?

Re: Viewing village Grandstand - worth it?
Thanks for your reply. In 2015 I stayed on the grass a little bit back from the front line. Was not too crowded. I think this year's stand will be different from the one used last year. I thought I would make use of the higher viewpoint..but if I am further from the front line than I was when I was ...

Viewing village Grandstand - worth it?
Hi all. I am thinking of upgrading my general admission ticket to a viewing village grandstand. Is it worth it, photography wise, bearing in mind i will be carrying a 70-300mm lens? Or should i stay on the grass?
Thanks,
Mario
